Although I have lived with the Congenital Heart defect of Ebstein’s Anomaly all 14 years of my life, I have never let it define me.
In fact, most people would never even know I had it. I stay very active and play multiple competitive sports throughout the year. Right now I am currently in the middle of basketball season as an 8th grader at Manasquan Elementary School.
I have recently set a goal to raise both awareness and donations for Congential Heart Defect Research. This research is something extremely important, as it will develop cutting edge technology to repair Congenital Heart defects and anomalies. It will undoubtedly benefit both many others and me in the future. I encourage you to read a little more about it, which will help you to understand a bit more about me.
The Mayo Clinic along with Dr. Mitchel Alpert (my cardiologist since birth) and Dr. Meryl Cohen (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia) have been unwavering with my care and ultimately the planning of my upcoming Open Heart Surgery scheduled for February 4th.
